As of 2026, AWOW is proud to be in its 10th year of operation!

Since 2016, AWOW has successfully brought 16 different communities, performers, artists, dancers and musicians together – reaching approximately 6,000 audience members and participants through 4 major yearly events. Community involvement is key to the success of our goals and we are reaching out to preferred businesses and organizations to be supporters and partners.

A Year Of Virtual Events

The pandemic did not affect the energy and passion that AWOW has to give back to the community. We took a step back but then took 10 steps forward to further connect with our community virtually. We have learned to pause, pivot and practice these skills during the pandemic. So far in 2021, AWOW has hosted 20+ virtual events which have catered to all segments of the population from Cultural celebrations to Beauty aids to Nutrition to Coping mechanisms, Mental Health support, to safety of Covid-19 vaccination, connecting and transforming the community.

We just delivered a virtual program dedicated to "Mother's Day" on May 9, 2021 from 2:15-5:15 pm with a “Tea & Talk” followed by a Bollywood concert with International Artists from England, UK.
